Class Rating Instructor Rating
Description
This course provides the necessary flight training and flight examination required by EASA Part FCL for a Class Rating Instructor rating.
Prerequisites
Minimum Age: 18 years
Medical Certificate: Class II
Previous training:
- Shall hold at least the license and ratings for which flight instruction is to be given; and
- [For CRI(SEP)] – Shall have 300 hours flight experience and 30 hours on class/type
- [For CRI(MEP)] – Shall have 500 hours flight experience and 30 hours on class/type
Privileges
The privileges of an CRI(A) are to issue, revalidate and renew class or type ratings for non-complex, non high performance aircraft, along with:
- sailplane tow ratings;
- sea plane ratings;
- banner towing ratings; and
- aerobatic ratings,
- when the applicant holds the relevant flight ratings for the class.
Contents
- 5 hours flight training for multi-engine aircraft or 3 hours for single engine aircraft;
- 25 hours theoretical class course ‘Teaching and Learning’ instruction;
- Progress test and in-house examination;
- 2 hours skill test on type with HCAA assigned inspector/examiner;
