Base Training
Description
With the exception of Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) courses, the Type Rating course requirements for aeroplanes stipulate that the applicant shall complete takeoffs and landings in the aeroplane, under the supervision of an appropriately qualified Instructor.
A Base Training is commonly carried-out after an applicant has completed the Type Rating training, and passed the Skill Test in a simulator with an Examiner.
The Base Training includes:
- at least 4 landings in the case of Multi-Pilot Aeroplanes (MPA) where the student pilot has more than 500 hours of MPA experience in aeroplanes of similar size and performance or, in all other cases, at least 6 landings;
- at least one full-stop landing; and
- one go-around with all engines operating.
AEOLUS Aviation Academy, has several agreements with EASA Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holders, for trainees to successfully complete the Base Training.
