Flight Instructor Rating
Description
This course provides the necessary flight training and flight examination required by EASA Part FCL for a Flight Instructor rating.
Prerequisites
Minimum Age: 18 years
Medical Certificate: Class II
Previous training:
NOTE: these prerequisites represent the minimum requirements to obtain an FI rating with minimum privileges)
- PPL(A) or higher;
- CPL or ATPL theory credit (NOTE no theory credit is required for an FI(A) providing training only for LAPL(A));
- 200 hours flight experience of which 150 hours must be PIC;
- Successful completion of pre-entry flight assessment (2 hours);
Privileges
The privileges of an FI(A) depend heavily upon which other ratings are held and range from PPL training through the complex spectrum of advanced instruction. For details contact AEOLUS Aviation Academy.
Contents
- 30 hours flight training on single engine aircraft;
- 125 hours theoretical class course, including 25 hours ‘Teaching and Learning’ instruction;
- Progress test and in-house examination;
- 2 hours skill test with HCAA assigned inspector/examiner;
